Buxus sempervirens is very resilient to most soil conditions and can be planted in full sun or deep shade. Buxus sempervirens can be trimmed at any time through the spring and summer but try to avoid pruning in late Autumn and Winter.
For hedging plant Buxus sempervirens at 5-6 plants per running metre to make a dense hedge.
