25 Bare Root Blackthorn Hedging, supplied size: 60-90cm, 2-3′, bare root transplants
Blackthorn makes an excellent, dense armoured hedging. It bears pure white flowers at the end of winter / very early spring followed by the bright blue sloe berries which darken to almost black in the late summer.
Blackthorn is very tolerant of poor soils and will often thrive where hawthorn will not.
Planting rate is 3 – 6 plants/metre and it will make a hedge between 6′ and 12′ as your preference. 10 bare root blackthorn hedging will provide a hedge between 1.5 and 3 metres/yards
