How to Grow Your Own Cut Flowers (Part 2)

Loading Events

This a part two of our new workshop for 2020, it’s been much requested by those that have attended our flower arranging sessions. It doesn’t matter at all if you missed part one, we’ll be repeating it next year.

Meryl Clarke from Nodding Violets is joining us to demonstrate how to grow your own, beautiful cut flowers in your own garden. Tips on sowing, planting, planning and which varieties are best to grow to enable you to make beautiful bouquets, from your garden, all summer long

On the day we’ll be out in out in Meryl’s cutting patch at Hartshead Nurseries learning about the maintenance of your flowers through the summer, successional sowing and a deeper look into which varieties and types of plants are best to grow. We’ll then move on to cutting some flowers and then learning how to condition them so that they look their best for as long as possible.

At half way we will have a short gardener’s tea break for some home made cakes and refreshments. By the end of the day everyone will have some flowers and foliage to take home and condition for making into a bouquet.

An email with full details of the workshop will be sent after your ticket purchase is completed and a reminder the week before the workshop.

If you need to cancel we offer a full refund up to a week before the advertised date and a 50% refund from then on.
