We have our bare root trees and hedging for sale in the winter, November through to March. The trees are grown in our fields to British standard BS 3936, ensuring the tree you receive will be of the quality you would expect.
Winter is the optimum time for planting trees and for sizes 10-12 and below we would always recommend bare root trees over container grown. Above this size most trees need to be rootballed.
All our bare root trees are lifted with specialised machinery which minimises damage to the roots allowing for better establishment and growth in the spring.
We lift bare root trees to order, less than 24 hours before despatch to minimise time out of the ground. The trees are then supplied to you labelled and root wrapped in heavy grade polythene bags to prevent root drying.
