The Egremont Russet apple tree doesn’t produce the prettiest apple but it is certainly one a the finest flavoured. It is a popular, classic variety for good reason as it has good frost resistance, crops heavily and tastes fabulous.
The apples of Egremont Russet are sweet with a distinct nutty flavour. The apples store very well and the flavour improves with age.
