DESCRIPTION:We are very pleased to offer our new Christmas Wreath making workshops with Kate based at our nurseries on Whitehall Road. \nWe will be making spectacular\, all natural Christmas wreaths from foliage\, berries and seed heads collected from our farm in West Yorkshire. \nThe workshop will cover everything from how to make a hemp ring\, collecting and harvesting your foliage and flowers through to matching colours and textures to make a stunning wreath. Everyone will learn how to make a hemp ring and then decorate it with foliage\, berries and flowers to make a beautiful wreath to take home and get into the festive spirit. \nRefreshments will be provided throughout the workshop. Be sure to dress warm as the event will take place in our unheated glasshouse. \nAn email with full details of the workshop will be sent as a reminder the week before the workshop. \nIf you need to cancel we offer a full refund up to a week before the advertised date and a 50% refund from then on.

DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to invite you to one of our propagation by cuttings workshops that are held in our glasshouse at Whitehall Road Nurseries. \nThe workshop will cover many aspects of cuttings propagation and we hope it will be of interest to beginners and enthusiasts alike. \nThe topics that will be discussed by our propagators are: \n\nTypes of cutting: heel\, nodal\, inter-nodal etc.\nThe most successful times of year to take cuttings for various plants.\nThe use of rooting hormones.\nPropagation media (compost to you and me!).\nHusbandry\, heated beds and irrigation.\nThe pests and diseases to look out for and how to control them.\n\nThe workshop will be 2 hours long with a gardener’s tea break of home made cakes\, tea or coffee at the half way point. After this we will have a practical session where everyone will take some cuttings which you can then take home to finish rooting. \nIf you need to cancel we offer a full refund up to a week before the advertised date and a 50% refund from then on.
